I have always felt a strong pull to the beach, it’s my happy place for sure. It must be embedded in us from childhood, that excitement of running onto the beach with your bucket and spade, that feeling never fades. The fresh salty sea air, the comforting feeling of sand beneath your feet, and the sound of the ocean waves.
As a photography artist, the beach is where I feel most in tune with my creativity. I adore the minimalist backdrop, with the soft tones of the natural elements that allow for all of the focus to be on you and your baby bump.
I always shoot maternity photography in Dorset during golden hour. The hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset, it gives us the most beautiful soft and flattering light.
I couldn’t think of a more peaceful and beautiful setting, for a truly relaxed photoshoot to capture your pregnancy, than an evening by the ocean. It’s the most wonderful and memorable experience.
I travel to Dorset for my maternity shoots, it’s the location to adventure to for golden sand and dunes to nestle in. Most of my clients will also travel from Hampshire and surrounding areas, or live local to Dorset.
